Will God accept the repentance of a young man who does not pray and steals, and wishes to repent, and will He forgive his sins?
There is no great sin that Allah does not forgive its perpetrator if he repents sincerely, for Allah Almighty says: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."" And Allah accepts the servant's repentance as long as he has not reached the gurgling state [of death]. Repentance has conditions, and regarding prayer, the majority of scholars believe it is obligatory to make up what a Muslim intentionally missed. As for the thief's repentance, he must return the stolen goods to their owners, or donate them as charity if he is unable to identify them. When he finds the owners, he gives them the choice between receiving the equivalent or the value, or accepting it as charity.
