Is the feeling of confidence that God will admit me into Paradise, which lessens my fear of the Day of Judgment, considered correct, and how can I know that God loves me, and how do I draw closer to Him?

A Muslim must strive in the worship of his Lord, combining fear and hope. He fears that his deeds may be invalidated and hopes for Allah's grace and forgiveness, knowing that salvation is through Allah's mercy. A sign of Allah's love for His servant is His granting him success in obedience. The way to draw closer to Him is by adhering to the Sharia and striving in acts of worship, by maintaining obligatory duties, performing recommended acts, and abandoning forbidden and disliked acts.
