Is it permissible for a person to perform Umrah on behalf of their living relatives, whether they are healthy or ill?

The rulings for performing Umrah on behalf of another can be summarized in two cases:

1. Obligatory Umrah: It is not permissible to perform it on behalf of another unless the person is afflicted with a chronic illness from which recovery is not expected.
