What is the way for the repentance of a wine-drinker to be accepted if the prescribed Sharia punishment is not carried out on him?

Drinking alcohol is a major sin, and its punishment is severe in this world and the hereafter for whoever does not repent from it. Repentance and its acceptance are not contingent upon the implementation of the legal punishment. Whoever is afflicted with any of these filth should conceal himself with Allah's concealment and hasten to sincere repentance. If a servant repents, Allah accepts his repentance, and one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin. The door of repentance is open for whoever wishes to return to Allah with sincerity and devotion.
