What is the ruling on fleeing and leaving the house out of fear when an earthquake occurs, and is it better to remain in the house or to leave it, believing in God's decree?

It is permissible to flee from disasters, and this is an act of taking the permissible means that do not contradict reliance on Allah and belief in divine decree and destiny. Rather, it may be obligatory to save one's life. As Allah Almighty said: "And let them take their precautions." And abandoning the commanded means is a defect in the Sharia.
