What is the authenticity of the information which states that the last sense to cease is hearing, and that when the sun rises from the west, nothing will be seen in the Qur’ans but whiteness?

Discussions about the conditions of the dead, such as hearing and pain, pertain to the Unseen (al-Ghayb) which relies on the texts of Revelation. There is evidence proving that the deceased sometimes hears the speech of the living, as in the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “Indeed, he hears the thud of their sandals,” and his saying about the slain of Badr: “You are not more able to hear what I say than them.” Shaykh al-Islam mentioned that the deceased generally hears the speech of the living, but not necessarily always. It is not possible to prove or deny whether the deceased hears people’s condolences due to the absence of specific evidence.

As for the lifting of the Qur’an from the mushafs (copies of the Qur'an), there are ahadith and narrations (athar) that attest to this, such as the saying of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: “Indeed, this Qur’an among you is soon to be lifted… it will be taken away in one night, and what is in your hearts and what is in your mushafs will disappear.” These narrations are considered to have the ruling of marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) because they are not based on personal opinion.
