Cosmetic procedures are divided into two types: The first is that which is solely for the sake of seeking beauty and aesthetic enhancement, and this type is impermissible, as it involves altering Allah's creation. The second is that which is for the purpose of removing harm, pain, or a disfiguring defect, and this is permissible. Working in cosmetic procedures is subject to its type and ruling; thus, if it is permissible, then working and earning from it is lawful, and if it is forbidden, then working in it is likewise.
