What is the religious ruling on dealing with a business partner who complains and goes silent when the Qur’an is recited or religious lessons are given, grumbles about going to the mosque, constantly complains about low income, and causes psychological stress due to his interference in religious matters?

Working in a mixed-gender environment is forbidden unless there is a necessity. If a necessity exists, it is permissible while still searching for an alternative. It is not permissible to leave work to read or listen to lessons at the workplace, because the worker is a private employee of the employer, and he must perfect his work, for the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah loves that when one of you does a job, he perfects it." If the work harms one's religion and morals, one must search for a better or less harmful alternative.
