I am a young man working in a company owned by a Christian atheist who hates Muslims and mocks religion. I am asking about the ruling on working with him out of necessity, and about the ruling on my absence from work without his permission while registering my attendance, especially since he violates my rights, and what is the expiation for that?

"Praise be to Allah. It is permissible to work for a disbeliever or polytheist on the condition that disbelief or sin is not endorsed, and one must denounce when religion is mocked, and adhere to the legal rulings. It is better to work for a righteous Muslim.

A Muslim is advised to seek employment far from disbelievers, and if that is not possible, there is no harm, but on the condition of not befriending or showing loyalty to them, and adhering to legal rulings in dealing with them, and not attending their occasions.

It is not permissible to be absent from work while recording attendance because it is a lie. It is obligatory to fulfill the trust and meet the agreed-upon terms of employment.
