The answer

Sponsoring an orphan is a righteous deed through which one attains immense reward, and the sponsor enters Paradise with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Sponsorship includes attending to the orphan's affairs such as providing for their expenses, clothing, discipline, and upbringing. This virtue is attained by whoever sponsors an orphan from their own wealth or from the orphan's wealth through a legitimate guardianship. Furthermore, the compensation provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs to fostering families belongs to the family, and they have the right to benefit from it or from what exceeds the orphan's needs.
