Is a wife entitled to rearrange the furniture in the marital home without consulting her husband and obtaining his approval, given that he is the sole owner of the house and all its contents?

A wife is not permitted to change the arrangement of furniture in the marital home without her husband's consent, as it is his property.

The husband is advised not to let this issue become a cause for disagreement, and to allow his wife to arrange the furniture unless there is a valid reason [for him to object], and for understanding and compassion to prevail in their relationship.

The guardianship of a man requires him to treat his wife kindly and to bear with patience, as Ibn Abbas said in interpreting the verse: (But men have a degree over them) [Al-Baqarah: 228], meaning: an indication to encourage men to treat their wives kindly and to be generous with them in financial matters and character.
