What is the solution to the problem of excessive flatulence that occurs at the beginning of ablution and continues until the end of prayer, leading to loss of concentration and repetition of the prayer, knowing that medical examinations are normal, and that going to the restroom before prayer temporarily stops this condition? And is it necessary to repeat ablution if I feel a release of gas immediately after ablution or during prayer?
For one who experiences waswasa (whispers/obsessive thoughts), he should not pay attention to them and should not repeat ablution (wudu') or prayer unless he is certain that something has exited him. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If one of you has doubts in his prayer and does not know whether something has exited him or not, he should not leave (the prayer) until he hears a sound or perceives a smell." If a person suffers from flatulence and cannot control it, he must perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun, and what exits thereafter will not harm him. If it is possible to relieve oneself of gas before prayer by going to the restroom, this must be done, even if it means missing the congregational prayer. Prayer performed while suppressing the two impurities (feces and urine/gas) is valid but disliked (makrooh).
