Is it permissible to engrave names such as "Abdullah," "Abdul Rahman," "Muhammad," and "Isa" on wooden souvenirs and gifts, whether in Arabic script or otherwise?

It is Islamically permissible to engrave the Beautiful Names of Allah and other revered expressions on personal belongings and souvenirs. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wore a ring engraved with "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah," which indicates the permissibility of engraving a ring with its owner's name or with the Name of Allah Almighty. This is the view of the majority of scholars. It is desirable to remind people of the obligation to respect the Names of Allah Almighty.
