Is it considered usury for a person to buy a bedroom set for me and then pay for it in installments with added interest on the original price?

If a person buys a room at your request, then sells it to you for a known price exceeding its purchase price, with known installments, this is a Murabaha sale for one who commands a purchase, and it is permissible.
