Is it permissible to allow a Christian teacher to pray for a Muslim woman and her daughters, to console her, while being certain that the Healer is Allah alone?

It is permissible for a Muslim woman to ask a non-Muslim woman for supplication (du'a) and to say "ameen" to it, provided two conditions are met: First, that the non-Muslim woman supplicates to Allah Almighty and not to any of His creation. Second, that this does not imply magnifying the non-Muslim woman or validating her religion, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers." Scholars have differed on the acceptance of a non-Muslim's supplication and the permissibility of asking a non-Muslim for supplication and saying "ameen" to it. Ibn Abi Shaybah mentioned that Hassan ibn Atiyyah permitted a Muslim to say "ameen" to the supplication of a monk.
