How can a good appearance be an act of worship, and what are the conditions for a good appearance for a woman?

Good appearance and taking care of it can be an act of worship if it is in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and an expression of gratitude for Allah's blessings and a manifestation of them. It has conditions, including: that it should be without extravagance or boastfulness, and that a Muslim's concern for their inner self should be greater than their concern for their outward appearance. As for women, they are like men, except in what the Law has specifically prohibited for them regarding the display of non-apparent adornment.
