Is it permissible to translate the Friday sermon before the Imam ascends the pulpit, especially since many of those present do not understand Arabic, and are the Friday lessons before the prayer considered an innovation (bid'ah)?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade forming circles (halaqat) before the Friday prayer, and he disliked gathering for knowledge and study before the prayer because it distracts from the prayer, listening to the khutbah (sermon), and dhikr (remembrance of Allah). It may also lead to cutting off rows and disturbing the worshippers. Translation and forming circles should be delayed until after the prayer has concluded.
