The majority of scholars stipulate that the Friday sermon must be delivered in Arabic as an act of worship, unlike the Hanafis and the Islamic Fiqh Council who permit its delivery in any language. If there is a need for translation, it should be done after the prayer to maintain the continuity between the two sermons and the prayer, while allowing for flexibility in the translation to benefit the listeners.
