If the oath was a lie, but unintentional, merely a slip of the tongue, then there is no sin upon the one who uttered it, for error is forgiven. However, if it was intentional, then the person has fallen into sin, and upon him is sincere repentance that erases the sin. The one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin. If the repentance is sincere, one should not pay attention to the whispers of Satan, but rather occupy oneself with what benefits them, have good thoughts of their Lord, and rely on Him. There is no objection to consulting a psychiatrist while maintaining the prescribed supplications (adhkar) and legal ruqyah.
