Is it permissible to kill a dog that harms the household and causes them health, psychological, and financial problems?

It is forbidden to keep dogs unless there is a need for them (such as hunting, guarding, or farming). Whoever acquires a dog for any other reason will have a qirat deducted from his reward every day. If it is possible to expel the dog from the house without harming it, then it should not be killed. If expelling it is difficult, or if there is harm in expelling it, then there is no objection to killing it. Some scholars have permitted killing dogs absolutely, while Al-Qurtubi held that it is obligatory to kill a dog that causes harm, permissible to kill others, and obligatory to kill a black dog with two spots.
