Does a woman deserve anything from the mahr if she requests divorce before consummation, and only five days have passed since the marriage contract?

If a woman is divorced before consummation and valid seclusion, she is entitled to half of the dower, as Allah Almighty says: "And if you divorce them before you have touched them and you have already specified for them an obligation, then for them is half of what you specified" [Al-Baqarah: 237]. Her request for divorce does not prevent her from this right. However, if the divorce is in exchange for compensation, it is waived from the husband.

A woman is not permitted to request a divorce except for a legitimate Sharia-compliant reason. If she insists on it without an excuse, the husband has the right to refuse to divorce her until she redeems herself from him.

The husband's permission is required for the wife to go out to work, unless she stipulated this before the marriage contract, in which case he must fulfill it. It is worth noting that a woman's obedience before consummation is to her father, and after consummation, it is to her husband.
