What is the ruling on obeying a mother who orders her daughter to leave her husband and her job, and return to live and work in the mother's city?

It is not permissible to obey one's mother in separating from the husband or leaving his house without his permission. The husband has more right to the woman than her parents, and obedience to him is more obligatory. Nevertheless, honoring one's mother is obligatory, so the daughter must honor her, treat her kindly, and obey her in what is good, as long as it does not conflict with her husband's rights.
