Is it permissible to suffice with feeding 60 needy persons as expiation for an indecency committed during the daytime in Ramadan twenty years ago, out of fear of family problems occurring due to fasting?

Whoever committed indecency and broke their fast during the daytime in Ramadan must repent to Allah, make up for the day they broke their fast, and offer expiation (kaffarah) for intercourse during the daytime in Ramadan. This expiation is: freeing a slave; if one cannot find a slave, then fasting for two consecutive months; if one is unable to do that, then feeding sixty poor people. This expiation is in sequential order, and feeding is not sufficient for one who is able to fast. Ignorance of the obligation of expiation does not waive it.
