Reward is sought for those who follow or disseminate legitimate fatwas for the sake of Allah, and this is part of seeking and spreading knowledge. It is more befitting for the طالب العلم (student of knowledge) to prioritize the Qur’an and Hadith, memorizing them, perusing concise texts, and communicating with scholars for correction and guidance. It is stipulated for anyone wishing to disseminate fatwas that they must not alter them, that the dissemination must not be for financial compensation, and that the source must be indicated.
