Do the angels record all of a person’s deeds and raise them to Allah, despite His prior knowledge of them? And is this part of the Unseen, into which one should not delve? And why do we not humble ourselves in prayer except when afflicted by worries or when hearing influential admonitions, even though the predecessors used to weep out of awe upon hearing the Quran, even if they were not Muslims?

The questions about waswās (whispers/obsessive thoughts) have been answered previously. Quranic verses indicate that Allah Almighty knows everything, small and large, what has been, what is, and what will be. Allah's knowledge of all beings and their recording is a level of divine decree (qadar) and a pillar of faith, as Allah has entrusted angels to record all of a servant's deeds. Bringing this meaning to mind helps in achieving khushūʿ (devotion) in prayer. A Muslim should always be mindful of Allah Almighty, fearing Him and being wary of heedlessness.
