It is permissible to purchase an 'aqiqah certificate and to authorize a trustworthy institution to perform the slaughter, with the recommendation of distributing it in three portions. As for feeding for an oath expiation (kaffarat al-yamin), it does not require slaughter or meat; it is sufficient to provide the average food one feeds their family for ten poor people, for lunch and dinner. The 'aqiqah can be used for the oath expiation if it is sufficient to feed ten poor people. If it is not sufficient, then the number must be completed. It is also permissible to authorize the institution for the feeding.
