Is it permissible to donate the monetary value of the Aqiqah to the poor instead of slaughtering it, in order to avoid distributing it in a manner contrary to the Shariah?

The 'Aqiqah is a confirmed Sunnah, not an obligation. Its reward is not obtained by donating its value, but rather by slaughtering the animal itself, which is more meritorious. The rulings of 'Aqiqah are similar to those of 'Eid sacrifice (Udhiyah) in terms of conditions and distribution. It is recommended to divide it into three parts: one-third for eating, one-third for charity, and one-third for gifting. It is obligatory to give in charity whatever is referred to as meat from it.
