Is it permissible for me to allow myself to be treated with contempt, insults, and humiliations, especially in the context of marriage, knowing that this might lead me to curse my mother?

Parents are not permitted to differentiate between their children, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Be just among your children." However, parents' favoritism towards some children does not justify their children's disobedience or lack of filial piety towards them. Allah has commanded showing kindness and gratitude to parents, even if they are disbelievers, so how much more so if they are Muslims? Therefore, it is not permissible to treat parents poorly or curse them because they favor someone else over you, for their reckoning is with Allah, and you are not to abandon showing them kindness.
