Does what is currently happening to Muslims—killing, displacement, and rape by other nations—contradict the hadith: "And I have granted your Ummah that I will not destroy them with a general famine, nor will I allow an enemy from outside themselves to completely overpower them and devastate their core, even if all those from the ends of the earth gather against them"? And how can this be understood in light of the hadith: "The nations are about to gather against you just as people gather around a platter of food"?

The hadiths of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, which speak of Allah's preservation of the Muslim nation, such as the hadith of Thawban: "Indeed, I asked my Lord for my nation that He would not destroy them with a widespread famine, and that He would not set against them an enemy from outside themselves who would completely wipe out their main body," do not contradict what befalls some Muslims in terms of killing and displacement. This is because the meaning of the hadith is that the Muslim community and their core will not be completely wiped out by others, and that any general destruction or famine will be limited.

This also does not contradict the hadith: "The nations are about to gather against you just as eaters gather around their dish." This hadith indicates that the disbelieving nations will gather against the Muslims if their numbers increase and their strength diminishes. However, this will not reach the point of general eradication of Muslims. The first hadith negates widespread eradication, while the second clarifies that the weakness of Muslims due to their attachment to this world and their lack of preparation to fight their enemy will remove fear from the hearts of their enemies.
