How do I get rid of the obsessive-compulsive disorder that drives me to curse and swear at myself and my parents, especially during prayer and when I am alone?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an illness that one afflicted with should seek treatment for through five matters:

1. Fleeing to Allah the Almighty and seeking refuge in Him: For healing and cure are in Allah’s hands, and He responds to those who supplicate Him, especially during the pre-dawn hours. 2. Turning away from the obsessions and what they call for: By seeking refuge in Allah and engaging in worship and remembrance, and by raising one’s voice with the Quran or with speech. 3. Increasing the remembrance of Allah the Almighty, especially seeking forgiveness: Because obsession is from Satan, who departs with the remembrance of Allah and seeking refuge in Him. 4. Visiting a trustworthy Muslim doctor: For obsession is an illness for which Allah has provided a cure, and one must seek treatment for it. 5. Knowing that the one afflicted with this illness is excused and rewarded: This is due to their lack of intention for what they utter, and their patience and seeking reward from Allah. Their considering what they utter as grave indicates pure faith.
