Who named the Qur'an by this name, and was it Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, or was its naming mentioned in the Holy Qur'an?

It was Allah who named His Book "the Qur’an," and this name is mentioned in many verses of the Holy Qur’an. Linguistically, "Qur’an" comes from "al-Qar’" meaning "to collect" or "to gather," because it collects the surahs, or the fruits of previous scriptures, or various types of knowledge.
