The question

Is the news I heard about the revocation of Egyptian citizenship from those married to Israeli women a message from Allah and a result of performing Istikhara, indicating that renouncing Egyptian citizenship is not good, or is it merely a delusion and I should proceed with the procedures for renouncing it?

The answer

Whoever seeks guidance from Allah concerning a matter should then resolve to pursue it. If it becomes easy and one's heart is content, then it is good. If it becomes difficult, then one should turn away from it. There is no harm in consulting wise individuals. If the matter becomes settled, then one should proceed with it, for Allah will either grant success in it or turn one away from it. The news you encountered may not be relevant. We advise observing piety towards Allah and increasing supplication during times when prayers are answered. For whoever fears Allah, increases in supplication, remembrance, seeking forgiveness, and performing good deeds, Allah will make their affairs easy and provide for them.
