The question

Is it permissible for a resident to marry with the intention of divorce at an unspecified time without the wife's knowledge, given that informing her would make it a temporary marriage (mut'ah)? And is it permissible to stipulate no mahr (dower), no deferred dower, and no alimony?

The answer

Marriage with the intention of divorce is permissible according to the majority of scholars. However, it is preferable not to do so unless there is a fear of falling into haram (unlawful acts).

As for stipulating the waiving of the Mahr (dowry), it is not permissible to absolve her of the mut'ah (consolatory gift) expense before the divorce, because absolution applies to something that has become obligatory, and the mut'ah expense only becomes obligatory after the divorce. It should be noted that the mut'ah for a divorced woman with whom consummation has occurred is recommended and not obligatory according to the majority of scholars.
