Is it permissible to eat meat raw without cooking, may you be rewarded?

Scholars have differed concerning the ruling on eating raw meat. Some of them hold it to be disliked (makruh), while Imam Ahmad was of the opinion that there is no harm in it (la ba's bihi). This latter view is the most preferred, unless its harm is proven to be significant according to Islamic law. In that case, it would become disliked or forbidden, depending on the type and effect of the harm.
