What are the legitimate Islamic ways to entertain and raise children in light of technological advancement, taking into account the following: the prohibition of PlayStation games, musical cartoon films that promote deviant ideas, the absence of a yard for playing, the inability to go to parks, the existence of prohibited handmade toys, while also considering the scarcity of legitimate Islamic toys that children are inclined towards?

Music is forbidden, and there are other fatwas regarding cartoon films. Entertaining children must be done through lawful means that do not lead society into the prohibited, such as teaching them swimming, archery, and horsemanship, and protecting them from negative influences. It has been reported in the hadith: "You must practice archery, for it is among the best of your pastimes," and "Everything that is not remembrance of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, is a pastime, except for four things: a man's walking between two targets, his disciplining his horse, his playing with his family, and teaching swimming." A child is a trust with their parents, and they must be taught goodness, disciplined with lawful manners and good morals, protected from bad company, and taught what benefits them in this world and the Hereafter. There are permissible entertainment alternatives that suffice over forbidden things.
