Does a woman lose her independence after marriage and become subservient to her husband in every matter, knowing that her obedience is only obligatory in specific marital rights, while some believe that a man has many degrees over his wife, citing the verse: "But men have a degree over them"?

Obedience to the husband is obligatory upon his wife in what is good and permissible, and he is not allowed to exploit it for oppression, because it was mandated for the benefit of the family. And because the husband is a guardian over his wife by virtue of how Allah has favored some of them over others and by what they have spent. It has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her will enter Paradise," and "Inform any woman you meet that obedience to the husband and recognition of his right is equivalent to all of that, and few of you do it."
