Who will be more beautiful in Paradise: the Houris or the righteous women of this world?

A Muslim should occupy his mind with what benefits him and strive to understand the words of Allah and His Messenger and act upon them. As for the preference of women of this world over the Houris of Paradise, weak hadiths have been reported concerning this, and there is no authentic hadith that proves or denies it. Some scholars believe that the women of this world in Paradise are superior to the Houris. For instance, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen was of the opinion that a righteous woman in this world would be better than the Houris and more pleasing to her husband, and that women of this world would be superior to the Houris even in their outward attributes. A Muslim should focus on the true distinction among people in the Hereafter based on their deeds, as the inhabitants of Paradise will vary in their bliss and the inhabitants of Hell in their torment. Therefore, one should strive to compete in good deeds.
