What is the ruling on the name (Ghalā)? May Allah reward you with good.

It has been established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, loved good names and disliked ugly ones. The most beloved names to Allah are "Abdullah" and "Abdul Rahman", and the most truthful are "Harith" and "Hammām", while the ugliest are "Harb" and "Murrah".

It is preferable to name children after Prophets, righteous people, and companions.

Names that imply glorification or aggrandizement are prohibited, as Allah the Almighty says: "So do not assert your purity; He is most knowing of who fears Him." The Prophet also forbade naming a boy "Rabah," "Najih," "Yasar," or "Aflah."

If the name "Ghala" does not contain any Sharia prohibition, such as servitude to other than Allah, or glorification of it, or polytheistic or immoral symbols, or an omen of evil, or self-praise, then there is no harm in naming with it. However, it is better to choose good names.
