Is a single curse counted as one bad deed, or does the number of bad deeds depend on its impact on the cursed person, and does every ugly act equal one bad deed, or is its severity measured?

If someone abuses or wrongs another in any way, and justice is not served in this world, nor is the wronged party forgiven, then Allah the Almighty will exact justice on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection. If the oppressor has good deeds, some will be taken from them for the wronged party, commensurate with the injustice. If the oppressor has no good deeds, then some of the wronged party's sins will be placed upon them, commensurate with the injustice. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has wronged his brother in his honor or anything else, let him seek his forgiveness today, before there is neither dinar nor dirham. If he has good deeds, some will be taken from him commensurate with his wrongdoing. If he has no good deeds, then some of the sins of his companion will be taken and placed upon him." This retribution will be commensurate with the injustice, not according to the wronged party's whim, in confirmation of Allah the Almighty's saying: "And We will set up the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be wronged at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as reckoners."
