Why didn't Aisha mention Ali's name, may Allah be pleased with him, in her speech, despite her knowledge of him?

A'ishah did not mention Ali's name (may Allah be pleased with them both) in her narration due to what she felt towards him, as some narrations indicate that this was due to the incident of the Slander (Al-Ifk). Ibn Abbas affirmed that the other man whom A'ishah did not name was Ali, and that A'ishah "did not feel comfortable with him." This does not discredit her, for such human emotions are acceptable as long as they do not lead to injustice, and she acknowledged his merit and status.
