Is it forbidden to use pig bone in non-food industries?

The bone of a pig is pure and permissible to benefit from if it has been transformed through chemical treatment into another substance, based on the opinion of many scholars who hold that impurity becomes pure through istihalah (transformation). However, if it has not been treated, it remains impure and is not permissible to use, though some scholars have allowed its use out of necessity.
