What is the ruling on eating the meat of chickens that feed on cockroaches, knowing that these cockroaches feed on restaurant waste?

Feeding chickens cockroaches does not necessitate the prohibition of eating their meat; for cockroaches are considered pure by the majority of scholars. Even if we assume their impurity, the jallalah (an animal that feeds on impurities) is not unlawful to eat according to most scholars; rather, it is merely disliked if there is a change in its meat or a foul odor in its sweat. The Malikis, however, hold that the meat of the jallalah is not disliked at all.
