What is the meaning of the Hadith: "Yemen will be opened, and people will come boasting, carrying their families and those who obey them, and Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew. And Sham will be opened, and people will come boasting, carrying their families and those who obey them, and Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew. And Iraq will be opened, and people will come boasting, carrying their families and those who obey them, and Madinah would be better for them, if only they knew"?

It is understood from the agreed-upon authentic Hadith that Yemen will be conquered, and people will come who "yabussun" (meaning they will gently lead their animals or embellish that land for their families) and will relocate with their families and those who obey them from Medina to Yemen, even though residing in Medina is better for them than Yemen, if only they knew its virtue. This is a form of admonition for those who depart Medina and miss out on an immense good. This is a clear miracle of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for his foretelling of the conquest of these regions, the migration of people to them, and their departure from Medina, and that residing in Medina is better for them. This is a consensus that some places are better than others.
