What is the share of the heirs of a deceased person who has no offspring, and whose two paternal cousins died before him, the first of whom left a wife, three sons, and two daughters, one of whom is from a different mother, and the second left one son, knowing that the inheritance is 13,500 Egyptian Pounds?
If the deceased's relatives are limited to those mentioned, then the inheritors are the male sons of his brother, not the females, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them; and whatever remains, give it to the closest male." It is recommended to give their sisters and female relatives something from the inheritance, based on Allah's (SWT) saying: "And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the division [of inheritance], then provide for them [something] out of it and speak to them words of kindness." The matter of inheritances must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure there are no other inheritors, wills, or debts that take precedence over the inheritors' right.
