What is the maximum period a wife can stay with her family or away from her husband?

If the husband permits his wife to visit her family and stay with them for a period, there is no harm, and there is no limit to the duration if they agree.

If he permits her to visit and then asks her to return to his home, she is not entitled to refuse without an excuse.

If the wife requests to stay with her family for the customary period, the husband should permit her.

If she requests to return to her husband, he should bring her back, and it may become obligatory for him if she is harmed by not returning.

It is not permissible for a woman to travel without a mahram.
