Is there repentance for the one who engaged in Mubahalah, regarding what is between him and Allah, after the Mubahalah?

Mubahalah is the invocation of a curse upon the unjust party by both sides, and it is legislated to reveal the truthful from the false. It is not permissible to resort to it except for a predominant legitimate interest. It is not permissible for someone who knows they are lying to undertake it, lest they expose themselves to a curse. However, if one undertakes it while lying, then sincerely repents, their repentance is accepted. Allah the Almighty says: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'" (Az-Zumar: 53). And Allah the Almighty says: "Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds - for them Allah will change their evil deeds into good ones. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (Al-Furqan: 70). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever repents before the sun rises from its west, Allah will accept his repentance."
