Is it permissible to supplicate with the noble verse: "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful," even if there is no adversity or illness, because it is the supplication of Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him, and one of the reasons for the acceptance of supplication?

The best supplication is that which is authentically reported from the Quran and Sunnah, especially the supplications of the Prophets. The supplication should also be appropriate for the supplicant's situation. For someone who is not afflicted by harm or illness, it is better for him to praise Allah, remember Him, and glorify Him, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "The best remembrance is 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but Allah), and the best supplication is 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah)," and based on the saying of Allah the Almighty: "If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]." As for someone afflicted by harm or illness, it is appropriate for him to supplicate with the supplication of Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him.
