Is it permissible for me to put my hair up in a bun while I am praying?

If a woman prays with her hair tied up on top of her head in a bun, her prayer is valid, provided her hair is covered. Some scholars prohibit this hairstyle because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it in the hadith "Two types of people from the Hellfire," considering that it resembles the humps of Bukht camels, and that it may be a form of tabarruj (display of adornment) if visible under the abaya. Adopting this opinion is more cautious.
