Is divorce considered a sin if coexistence between spouses becomes impossible to the extent that affection and mercy cease to exist? Does divorce inevitably lead to the loss of children? What are the rights of children that a father will be questioned about by Allah in the event of a divorce? Is it permissible for a husband to marry another woman and stipulate to his first wife that he will not spend nights with her or grant her any sexual or social rights, contenting himself with providing for her and raising the children? Is a woman who agrees to this situation considered a partner in sin? Is a girl sinful if she refuses to marry a married man, citing her family's disapproval and her conviction that the proposed situation is wrong and its sin outweighs its benefit?

First: Repentance for what transpired between the questioner and the man.

Second: Divorce is not always forbidden; it can be obligatory, detestable, or otherwise. The husband has the right to marry more than one woman, provided he acts justly between them.

Third: Regarding the custody of children, the mother has a greater right to them as long as she does not remarry. After the age of custody, they are given the choice between their parents.

Fourth: The rights of the children do not change with the divorce of their mother.

Fifth: It is not permissible for the man to wrong his ex-wife or diminish her rights, unless she waives her right.

Sixth: It is not permissible for a woman to demand the divorce of another wife so that she may marry him.

Seventh: It is not advisable to accept this man as a husband because he does not pray and wrongs his wife. Whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
