Does a single art receive from one sheikh or more than one?

A student of knowledge is advised not to receive instruction in a single discipline, such as Fiqh or rhetoric, from multiple shaykhs. Rather, for each discipline, he should specialize with one shaykh. This is because differences in methods of inference and opinions among shaykhs can lead to the student's confusion and doubt, whereas adhering to a single shaykh for a particular discipline brings comfort and clarity to the student.
